Accessible culture

Universal accessibility strategies for museums, interpretation centers, etc. We have collaborated in the creation of the Al-MUSACTRA platform https://tracce.ugr.es/almusactra/ that facilitates access to heritage for people with hearing, cognitive and visual disabilities and is also open to people without disabilities. It houses audio descriptions for blind people of all kinds of heritage assets. The audio descriptions are adapted to the needs of the visit (short or long), to particular tastes (objective or subjective, with a greater or lesser number of metaphors) or to the ability to access language (audio descriptions for children or simplified for adults) . It also offers examples of audio descriptions in different languages for users with a mother tongue other than Spanish. Deaf or hard of hearing people will be able to access both guided tours interpreted in sign language and subtitled videos. For people with literacy problems, easy-to-read texts are included with or without supporting pictograms. Each user will be able to design their own museum experience from anywhere in the world or by visiting the heritage site and consulting the accessible resources on demand. Another development is the UGRQR app that allows you to move around the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation and the Higher Technical School of Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering of the UGR in which the resources are available in text, audio guide and sign language and has five Languages.
