TEP-025: Chemical and biochemical process technology
The “Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology” research group (TEP-025) is formed by a multidisciplinary team of researchers with ample experience in the chemical engineering field. The main objectives of the group’s research are concerned with the treatment of industrial effluents, the encapsulation of bioproducts through micro and nanosystems, and simulating the gastrointestinal tract using automated chemical reactors. The group collaborates with other internationally prestigious universities such as the Ibero-American University and the Metropolitan Autonomous University, both in Mexico.
The main lines of research are the following:
- Vectorization and stabilization of active ingredients through emulsified micro and nanosystems
- Revaluation of industrial effluents through state-of-the-art technologies
- Simulation of physiological processes in the digestive tract using automated chemical reactors
