RNM-101 Edaphology and land-use planning

The Edaphology and Land-Use Planning Group (RNM101) was created in January 1995.

Since its founding to the present day, its research lines have focused on different aspects of soil sciences such as soil genesis, soil mapping, soil classification, soil assessment, soil degradation (erosional and non-erosional), and soil contamination.

After the establishment of the degree in Food Science and Technology, the research line of “Production of Food Material” was created.

The research group has the objective of research, both pure and applied, into soil, and the various aspects of it, which are consolidated into the research lines set forth and have given rise to numerous, important research projects on the nature, distribution, and use of Andalusian soils.
