Gender and organisational culture and professional nursing development

We start from a theoretical approach to the social construction of gender roles, organisational culture and the historical background of nursing as a profession. This topic attempts, using the discourse of doctors and nurses of both genders, to analyse cultural assumptions and their influence on the professional development of nursing, exploring some of the forms of interaction among them, and the knowledge, beliefs, attitudes and assumptions that make up the organisational culture
