Developing analytic methods and proposals to determine endocrine disruptor residues in biological, environmental and food samples
The objective of this line is mainly focused on the development of different analytical methodologies for the determination of chemical endocrine disruptors, bisphenol A and homologues, benzophenones, parabens, perfluorinated compounds and other chemical endocrine disruptors, as well as natural hormones, in biological samples such as saliva, nails, hair, urine, serum, human milk or placental tissue; and food samples; with special emphasis on the sample treatment stage. These samples are provided by the Nutrition, Diet and Risk Assessment group of the University of Granada (AGR-255) with whom we actively collaborate in numerous national and international competitive projects. This group actively collaborates with the corresponding epidemiological and statistical studies related to the data generated by the analytical methodologies developed by the group. It is important to highlight that these projects are framed within the FIBAO Foundation and the Nutrition and Biosanitary Research Institutes of the University of Granada.
