The research group SEJ-272: Seminario Miguel Motos was created in the late 90s with the following topics as the axis of its research: stock market and viability of creating a Stock Exchange in Andalusia.
In 2000 it was restructured, with the aim of analyzing the influence of New Technologies in the constant development of commercial law, particularly in the field of telecommunications, electronic commerce, digital signature, electronic contracting and company law.

The main lines of research are the following:
- Contracting and electronic commerce.
- Company law and new technologies.
- Stock market.
- Conflict resolution systems.
