The research group was created in 2000 with the aim of developing a leading research platform in Andalusia in the area of languages applied to professional and academic contexts, which did not exist before this date. The aim of the group, since its creation, has been the dissemination of qualified research in this field and in the lines of research defined below. Furthermore, the collaboration of other groups and lines of research has been promoted, both in Andalusia and the rest of Spain, expanding its role as a referent for the necessary international impact.
