Special functions of mathematical physics and applied mathematics

The algebraic, spectral, entropic and asymptotic properties of these functions, especially orthogonal polynomials, are studied using modern approximation theory methods. These functions characterise the physical/mathematical solutions to the equations of movement for natural classical and quantum systems, from the oscillator to atoms and molecules.
