- Abstract: Single use sensor for the determination of zinc ions in wáter, and and sensor protective bag that allows to know in a quick, simple and economic way the presence or concentration of cinc (II) ions in water, in the same place where the sample is. It comprises a rectangular polyester layer, where lays a circular film that constitutes the active part of the sensor; its color change, from green to red, when the sensor is introduced in water, indicates the cinc concentration by comparing with a color scale. The preservation of the sensor is achieved by introducing it in an opaque bag, hermetically sealed, together with sulfur dioxide. It is used for identifying and determining presence of cinc in all type of waters. The sensor is an alternative to the conventional analysis methods.
