TIC-218: Signal Processing and Biomedical Application (SiPBA)

The research group TIC-218: Signal Processing and Biomedical Application (SiPBA) is made up of more than 10 researchers, of which 7 are doctors with research, teaching and management experience. The group presents a scientific production of more than 200 JCRs, more than 400 congresses and 20 addresses of doctoral theses. He has received several awards for the projects developed, his research work and his individual members for his excellent career.
The SiPBA Group has extensive experience in signal and image processing, statistical modeling techniques, statistical learning theory, machine learning including deep learning, which has allowed it to participate in various projects and contracts in the field of Neuroscience, neuro computing, energy, voice processing, series prediction in industrial environment, development of computer applications in biomedicine, etc.

His main lines of research are the following:
- Analysis of functional and structural brain images
- Bioinformatics.
- Classification and regression of patterns.
- Bayesian methods, mixture models and stable alpha distributions.
- Pre-processed medical image.
- Signal processing.
- Processing of biomedical signals.
- Voice recognition and processing.
