TIC-190: Electrodynamics of transitory phenomena

The research group TIC-190: Electrodynamics of transient phenomena focuses on the numerical simulation, by means of the TLM (Transmission Line Matrix) method, of the propagation, radiation and dispersion of electromagnetic waves in electromagnetically complex media (inhomogeneous, anisotropic and dispersive). The recent experience of the group has mainly focused on the study of electromagnetic propagation in planetary atmospheres, metamaterials and space plasmas, but the versatility of the TLM method and the experience of the group allow adaptation for the numerical modeling of other wave propagation phenomena. within complex media. The group can provide the business sector with the numerical study of electromagnetic wave propagation using non-commercial specific purpose software, as well as experience and ability to measure the natural electromagnetic field at low frequencies (ELF, ULF).

His current line of research is as follows:

Generation and propagation of low frequency electromagnetic waves in magnetized cold plasmas
