TIC-111: Approximate Reasoning and Artificial Intelligence

This research group had its beginnings in a small group of researchers who, at the end of the 70s, started their work on fuzzy subset theory and fuzzy logic. This work began the study, together with some other pioneering groups, of these subjects in Spain. Nearly all the researchers at the University of Granada that work in this field are in this group, whose general line of work has been the treatment of imprecise and uncertainty problems in artificial intelligence, using fuzzy logic and fuzzy subset theory as a basic model.

Currently, the research work of the group is much wider, but these models continue to be the central focus of the greater part of the research.
