TEP-212: Surfactants, enzymes and emulsions

The research group TEP-212: Surfactants, enzymes and emulsions was established in June 2002 within the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Granada.

The research team has been successful in transferring knowledge: it has developed collaborative projects with several private companies, such as Prodefut on ecological detergents and Petresa on surfactants. It has also managed protections for its research results through patents.

His main lines of research are the following:
- Biodegradation and toxicity of surfactants.
- Characterization of surfactants.
- Kinetic enzyme.
- Development of specific detergent products for different soils.
- Biodegradable detergent formulations for hard surfaces.
- Production of biosurfactants.
