Consciousness: Synesthesia and Creativity
Study of synesthesia (sensory mixing phenomenon) and its relationship with creativity and art. The aim of this line of research is to show that synaesthetic people can change their mental configuration more easily than non-synaesthetic people, allowing them to be more creative. The group studies different types of synesthesia: taste lexicon, emotion-color, touch-mirror, etc. Different sensory mixtures are studied in normals such as the kiki-bouba effect, the numerical mental line, the space-valence associations, etc.
