SEJ-450: Private property law
The research group SEJ-450: Private property law arises because private law is one of the great areas of law, in which civil and commercial law converge. For this reason, in 2005 a research group made up of researchers from both branches of private law was created, with the aim of addressing common or bordering lines of research to civil law and commercial law.
This interdisciplinary approach constitutes the main hallmark of this research group, allowing it a more complete and fruitful approach to the legal problems that are posed to citizens, professionals and companies in the heritage field.
In its more than 15 years of life, the researchers of this group have carried out numerous research and transfer activities, leading research projects in national and regional calls; issuing reports and opinions; and collaborating with public and private entities, such as the Iltre. Granada Bar Association, the Deanery of Property Registrars of Eastern Andalusia, companies and individuals.
Among the subjects addressed, and in which the members of the research group constitute a reference, it is worth highlighting all those related to private contracting and its modalities; the protection of consumers and users; the patrimonial protection of people in a situation of dependency or with disabilities; corporate law; the law of the financial market; the law of damages; and the protection of personal data, among others.
The main line of research is the following:
- Contract Law. Special consideration for mass and consumer contracting.
- Blockchain technology and smart contracts
- Brokerage services and digital contracting platforms
- Business, Corporate Governance and Company Law
- General contracting conditions: transparency and abusive clauses
- Contractual and extra-contractual civil liability
- Data protection and data contracts
