Treatment of industrial wastewater

  • ALPECHIN (olive-mill waste): Treatment of alpechins through the combined application of various technologies: centrifugation, filtration, bionic exchange, anaerobic biological treatment through fluidized bed, aerobic treatment through active sludge.
  • CHEMICAL-PHARMACEUTICAL EFFLUENT: treatment of industrial effluent with high nitrogen and phenol contents, as well as elevated salt levels, through biofilm systems, employing submerged double column filter technology. Studies carried out on a laboratory scale where an effluent was obtained that meets regulatory requirements thanks to the capacity to reduce the concentration of phenol, organic matter, and nitrogen.
  • PETROCHEMICAL EFFLUENTS: Isolation and selection of microorganisms from hydrocarbon-contaminated areas, with potential for their application in bioremediation processes, whether this be due to its degrading capacity or the production of some extracellular compound with emulsifying activity on petroleum hydrocarbons.
