Gendered Stereotypes regarding the Andalusian population
In general, our starting point is the hypothesis that students’ representations of Andalusian culture correspond to historically and socially transmitted stereotypes that are often based on a superficial and mistaken perception and are more a result of images used in the media (the roles played by Andalusian characters in television serials, the perception displayed in advertising, etc.) and of cultural learning in primary and secondary socialisation (school, family, university, etc.) rather than lived experience. These stereotypical images also determine the personal plans and choices (work, identity, etc.) of Andalusians and determine exclusion from certain areas of cultural activity and decision-making
