Complete study of the physical environment by selecting the most relevant and representative components from the standpoint of territorial management of the bio-physical base. The interactions and synergies among the different bio-physical components are identified so as to propose synthetic categories that will enable a pragmatic evaluation (albeit scientifically argued) of the parameters impinging, both positively and negatively, on territorial management. All of this is approached within the framework of sustainability.
