Diagnosis of socio-economic territorial imbalances and prescriptions for achieving territorial convergence in economic development and the population’s quality of life. Based on analysis, description and evaluation of geographical factors on different scales, options for regional differentiation and/or development are set out. Moreover, the group contributes to the analysis, evaluation and diagnosis of the bio-physical and human components that characterise space in order to define proposals for territorial action. In this respect, special importance is attached to: valuing features that characterise territories and the cultures inhabiting them; and also the empowering of vernacular societies by making use of sustainable endemic resources.
