The research group was created in 2004 as part of the University of Granada Department of History of Art and Music with the aim of establishing new research networks between Andalusia and America, as well as with the Maghreb, based on the historical links between them. This is a consolidated group that focuses specifically on research-based knowledge transfer through high-impact scientific publications in the field of humanities, attending and participating in international conferences, directing courses and seminars, commissioning exhibitions, and always supporting new researchers by means of TIT tutoring by team members and acting as doctoral thesis directors
