The group, which was formed in 2001, is made up of lecturers in the Slavic Philology Area, with the constant collaboration of noted philologists at the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Medical University of Saint Petersburg (Russia) and the University of Barcelona. The group’s aims were and continue to be the study of the philology of the mediaeval heritage of the Slavic countries, in its historical and in its linguistic and literary aspects; and also its future dissemination and application in educational processes and in teaching innovation.
