The group was formed in 1995. It has a clear commitment to research and service to society, with the aim of enhancing human resources and overall well-being through ergonomics and design as a medium for integrating the artistic historic heritage, its conservation and its preservation. Its main lines of research are as follows:

1. Creation, reception and impact of the work of art on the individual, taking her social and cultural environment into account.
2. Development of the theory and methodology of visual analysis of the work of art.
3. Graphic, product, multimedia, comic and animation design.

It is a multi-disciplinary group that carries on its projects in the area of ergonomics, design, art, culture, conservation and restoration of the cultural heritage.
