HUM-065: GEA- Material Culture and Social Identity in Late Prehistory of Southern Iberia
The research group was created in 2010 and it is formed by a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from different institutions related to research and management of the prehistoric heritage. its work is based on two central elements: the first is its interest in promoting and advancing both basic research and the social use of the knowledge generated. The second is its area of study, focused on prehistoric societies of the south of the Iberian Peninsula. The group intends to maintain a critical and participative attitude on different theoretical alternatives assuming the diversity of perspectives of the members of the group as an indispensable asset. This proposal works not only for the basic research but also the ways of dissemination and socialization of knowledge. It is compromised with excellence and internationalisation of knowledge through collaboration in specific projects with other institutions and the participation in conferences and seminars.
