Abstract: Multifunctional nanostructures that consist in superparamagnetic magnetoferritin, which can also comprise chains of a biocompatible polymer covalently bound to its surface. The invention also refers to a method to obtain such ananostructures, as well as its use as drug, and more preferably for cancer diagnosis or contrast agent.
