Hydrogen transfer reactions using water
Although generally it was believed that water is inert to free radicals, the research group has demonstrated that it can really be used as a source of hydrogen atoms in the presence of Ti (III) complexes and other monoelectronic transfer metals. Among other applications, this phenomenon can be used for the effective synthesis of organic products labelled with deuterium, useful as metabolic tracers or patterns for analysis using GC-MS and HPLC-MS
