The group studies the use of Michael-type additions between compounds bearing a vinyl sulfone group and the chemical moieties present in biomolecules. This methodology has allowed us to glycosylate proteins and label them with lipids, ferrocene-bound biotin, fluoresceine, dansyl, rhodamine, etc.
