The DAE group was created in 2009 and is made up of lecturers from the Statistics and Operational Research department and the Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business department.

The group, in addition to theoretical research in sampling, advises various public and private entities and research groups that wish to implement scientific surveys based on new and efficient estimation procedures that provide them with representative results and minimise the cost of carrying them out.

In the last 10 years the members of the group have directed 4 national R&D projects in the field of sampling in finite populations. It is the only research group from Andalusia which has been funded in this period to undertake national research projects in this area.
