The Granada Optics Group (FQM-151) has developed, since its formation, numerous and varied lines of research in colourimetry, physics of vision and optometry, technical and industrial applications of photonics, and capture and processing of colour images. Throughout its long history, it has established numerous collaborations with other national and international research groups. The group's researchers publish their work in scientific magazines with a high impact factor, and they belong to the main societies and scientific and technology transfer networks related to the field of optics.

The group's main lines of research are as follows:

- Technical and industrial applications of Photonics. 

- Capture and processing of colour images.

- Colorimetry: basic aspects and industrial applications of quality control.

- Physics of vision and Optometry: optical/optometric analysis and control.
