Synthetic lipid analogues as anti-tumour agents
This line of research is divided into the following areas:
- Biochemical and physicochemical studies in biological membranes. Alteration of the structural integrity of the membrane by exogenous manipulation and the repercussion on its functionality.
- Interaction of xenobiotics with cellular membranes in human hepatoblastoma and glioblastoma cell lines.
- Action mechanisms for anti-tumour agents (alkyl phospholipids) in HepG2 and U-87MG cells.
- Alkyl phospholipids and structure and function of raft/non-raft membrane domains.
- Analizyng the gene expression of proteins involved in lipid metabolism. Effect of alkyl phospholipids.
