CTS-642: Research and development in physical activity, health and sport
The group was created on 3 March 2009, to use and apply the knowledge and experience of researchers toward Research, Development and Innovation in physical activity, health and sport sciences. Currently, the group is researching topics related to the assessment and control of muscle strength for its possible application in the field of health and sporting performance. Specifically, studies about decision making in team sports are being conducted, with both student athletes and professional athletes. A virtual platform is being developed that will improve the processes and procedure for gathering, analysis and management of information. This program will also be applicable for decisions made regarding the fitness and training for emergency response professionals who depend on their physical strength to assist them in saving lives.
