CTS-235: Unsaturated fats and nucleotides. Therapeutic implications

The Research group "Unsaturated Fats and Nucleotides. Therapeutic Implications" was formed in 1989 in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, located in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Granada. Since its inception, it has been characterized as a multidisciplinary team with a strong industrial component, as more than half of the members belong or are directly related to the private sector.

The Group has worked with various national and international companies and institutions in the development of research projects in relation to the effect of milk on the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal cells; in the development of animal models of inflammatory bowel disease, and in the search for biomarkers; and in the study of olive oil and its impact in preventive medicine, among others.
