Development and evaluation of new drugs against leishmaniasis
In search of effective drugs against leishmaniasis, the research group has conducted in vitro and in vivo studies with various chemical and natural substances, some of which have shown exceptional results. The advantage offered by the group is its ability to evaluate the new compounds both in vitro (against promastigotes and amastigotes) and in vivo, first in primary models (mice or hamsters) and then in dogs as secondary models.
