This research group has extensive experience in the design of enzymatic processes, as well as the development and fine tuning of biomolecule purification and stabilisation processes. It specialises in the design and control of enzymatic reactors for obtaining protein hydrolysates, and in processes for obtaining structured lipids and resistant starches.

It has laboratory and pilot plant scale technical equipment: reaction equipment, separation equipment with membrane (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, lyophilisation equipment, drying by atomisation, and solid-liquid extraction equipment with solvent recovery).
