This research group was formed in 1995, at that time its research activity was focussed on the study of epidemiology of the anisakidosis larvae in commercial fish, as well as the in vitro study of the biological cycle of certain anisakids.

Currently, the group is working on a line of research on treatments for anisakidosis with natural products.
