BIO-225: Cellular Biology and Immunology

The Process and Development group was created on 1 January 1995, and was initially dedicated to the stereological analysis (processing of bidimensional images towards understanding of the 3D structure) in cells and tissues and to its application in embryonic development models. Currently, the main lines of research involve the study of the function performed by immune cell receptors in the process of phagocytosis. Similarly, the group is investigating the functions performed by these receptors in the cell cycle.
