This line of research is aimed at analysing the EU’s foreign policy, both in terms of foreign relations and with regard to how foreign and common security policy is formulated, including elements relating to common defence. The role of Spain is also studied, as well as the possibilities of an autonomous foreign policy, particularly when dealing with the transatlantic links of such a policy.
