HUM-798: Management and research of the archaeological heritage
The group was created in 2003, with the aim of working on aspects of the management and research of the archaeological heritage, with special attention to Iberian and Roman archaeology. The city and its traditions of production form one of the group’s priority topics, which is embodied in various competitive research projects. The behaviour of Roman pottery (from production centres of Andalusian origin) in reception centres and trade in ancient times are of special interest, along with all that they entail with regard to reconstruction of the social and economic history of the area studied. Dissemination of the research to the national and international scientific community through the usual channels and also to the general public forms an important part of the group’s work.
