The group was created in 1995 with the aim of combining knowledge and specialists in various linguistic, theoretical and experimental fields, as well as experts in different languages in order to create cutting-edge lines of research in the field of language sciences. The group’s distinguishing feature is the search to integrate advances in different disciplines, such as: computer linguistics, linguistic typology and cognitive sciences, applied to specific fields of study such as phonetics, lexicography, phraseology and culturology. This knowledge is developed not only in Spanish, but also in English, French, German, Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Portuguese, usually with collaboration from native-speaking specialists.
