The group was created in 1998 around two basic lines: Assessment of schools and assessment of learning strategies.

The main objective is to generate knowledge on these two topics, sharing the information and organising the research, coordinated by the person who supervises the majority of the doctoral theses and with most knowledge of these topics.

The group provides assistance on the need to assess qualifications, the schools, a change in the student assessment paradigm, identifying indicators, designing programs and verifying new assessment models.
