The research group, founded more than 30 years ago, specializes in the study of different colloidal systems: suspensions and emulsions. During this time, it has worked on the design, formulation and characterisation of colloids with applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

In the last decade, the research team has collaborated with numerous companies (national and foreign), designing controlled drug release systems, studying rheological properties (viscosity and viscoelasticity) of suspensions, emulsions and lubricants; and formulating new lubricants for car dampers. Services have also been provided for the characterisation of new drugs and rheology studies of food and phytosanitary products.
