CTS-137: Preventive Medicine and Public Health

The group was created in 1995 with the aim of co-ordinating and strengthening the independent research conducted by members of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Department.

There are currently 17 members in the group, 15 of whom are doctors, working in three areas of UNESCO research (epidemiology, preventive medicine and public health), with four main lines of research: environmental health; epidemiology and preventing highly prevalent social health problems; health indicators and assessment of health activities; and patient safety and epidemiology of traffic injuries.
