SEJ-170: Landscape, land planning and local development
The Landscape, Spatial Planning and Local Development research group is part of the University of Granada’s Regional Development Institute (IDR). It was created in 1991 with the aim of helping different landscape researchers combine their work and connect their studies with spatial planning objectives and, ultimately, with local development needs. One of the defining features of the group is the use it makes of cartography and geographic information systems as tools for analysis and presenting results.
Most of the members of the group are geography lecturers and researchers from the universities of Granada and Jaén. The group also has a few economists as members.
